Regular Season Round 1: Siauliu - Vilniaus KM II 96-71

An exciting game was played in Siauliai. Siauliu faced Vilniaus KM II. Host Siauliu (2-0) smashed guests from Vilniaus (0-2) 96-71. The game was mostly controlled by Siauliu. Vilniaus KM II managed to win third quarter 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Forward Lorenas Stoskevicius (-1) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for the winners and Paulius Danusevicius (200-1) chipped in 20 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Five Siauliu players scored in double figures. At the losing side Augustinas Mikstas (198-1) responded with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 20 rebounds and Nojus Bieliauskas (189-1) scored 13 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Siauliu will meet Panevezio (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Vilniaus KM II will play against V.Knasiaus KM (#5) and hope to win that game.
