Regular Season Round 4: Eimsbuetteler - Wolmirstedt 85-93

Very expected game in Hamburg where bottom-ranked ETV (0-5) was defeated by fifth ranked Wolmirstedt (4-1) 93-85 on Wednesday. Wolmirstedt made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game. Wolmirstedt outrebounded ETV 40-29 including 30 on the defensive glass. ETV was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian power forward Dino Erceg (203-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds (perfect from downtown making all five shots) and American guard Garrett Jefferson (190-91, college: Cal.Baptist) who added 25 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Tyseem Lyles (188, college: Mercy) responded with 27 points and 4 assists and Lithuanian guard Vidmantas Uzkuraitis (189-85) scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. ETV's coach tested eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Wolmirstedt have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in North, which they share with Wusterhausen and Langenhagen. ETV at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with five games lost. Wolmirstedt will face league's leader Goetting.ASC in Goettingen in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. ETV will play at home against the league's second-placed WSG Koenigs (#2) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
