Rather predictable result when Osnabrueck SC (2-0) rolled over at home Rotenburg/Scheessel (0-2) 95-60 on Wednesday. They outrebounded Rotenburg/Scheessel 40-28 including 32 on the defensive glass. Osnabrueck SC looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Rotenburg/Scheessel's players. American power forward Brianna Rollerson (185-94, college: Creighton) notched a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Melina Knopp (171-94) supported her with 20 points and 4 assists. Four Osnabrueck SC players scored in double figures. Even 12 points and 5 assists by the former international guard Pia Mankertz (170-90) did not help to save the game for Rotenburg/Scheessel. American forward Kama Griffitts (183-91, college: Arizona) added 15 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Osnabrueck SC will meet B.Loewen on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
