Important game to mention about took place in Alytus. Fourth ranked Neptunas (3-1) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 7th ranked Dzukija (1-2) 94-91 on Thursday evening. Neptunas made 22-of-25 charity shots (88.0 percent) during the game. Neptunas had a 25-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. Dzukija was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by international power forward Gytis Masiulis (206-98) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and American power forward Jerai Grant (203-89, college: Clemson, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 17 points and 6 rebounds. Even 26 points and 7 assists by American point guard Ken Brown (180-89, college: Philander Smith, agency: Octagon Europe) did not help to save the game for Dzukija. The former international power forward Egidijus Dimsa (205-85) added 17 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Five Neptunas and four Dzukija players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Neptunas moved-up to third place. Dzukija at the other side keeps the seventh position with two games lost. Neptunas will play against Prienu Skycop (#6) in Prienai in the next round. Dzukija will play at home against Siauliai and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
