Regular Season Round 2: Palanga - Zalgiris II 80-91

There was a small surprise when Zalgiris II (1-1) defeated on the road Palanga (1-1) 91-80. They outrebounded Palanga 40-27 including a 32-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Zalgiris II players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Swingman Lukas Uleckas (199-99) notched 26 points (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) to lead the effort and guard Arnas Adomavicius (193-0) supported him with 17 points and 4 assists. Zalgiris II's coach Tomas Kersis used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 33 points (!!!) and 5 assists by American point guard Jalen Riley (182-93, college: E.Tenn.St.) did not help to save the game for Palanga. Grantas Vasiliauskas (204-99) added 21 points and 10 rebounds for the hosts. Zalgiris II's next round opponent will be Ezerunas (#14) in Moletai and are hoping to win another game. Palanga will play on the road against Taurages (#8) and hope to win that game.
