Regular Season Round 4: Kamp-Lintfort - Ibbenbueren 71-110

Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Kamp-Lintfort (0-3) was rolled over at home by eighth ranked Ibbenbueren (2-1) 110-71 on Saturday. Ibbenbueren dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to Kamp-Lintfort's 16 and made 40-of-48 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game, while Kamp-Lintfort only scored thirteen points from the stripe. Kamp-Lintfort was plagued by 35 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Jeremy Lewis (185-86, college: St.Thomas, TX) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 4 steals and guard Omar Zemhoute (190-91) who added 22 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Worth to mention Lewis played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped get the job in pro basketball. Four Ibbenbueren players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Till Achtermeier (197-88) responded with 21 points and 7 rebounds and Thomas Achtermeier (195-94) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ibbenbueren moved-up to third place in West, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser Kamp-Lintfort still closes the standings with three games lost. Ibbenbueren will face Hagen-Haspe (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Kamp-Lintfort will play against Recklinghausen (#6) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
