Regular Season Round 3: Kirchheim - Trier 62-72

Very expected game when Kirchheim Knights (0-2) were defeated at home by Gladiators (3-0) 72-62 on Saturday. Gladiators looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was Jamaican-Canadian forward Jermaine Bucknor (201-83, college: Richmond) who scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Kevin Smit (183-91) chipped in 5 points and 10 assists. Four Gladiators players scored in double figures. Gladiators' coach Christian Held used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Dajuan Graf (185-92, college: N.C.Central) who recorded 14 points and 8 assists and Kevin Wohlrath (197-95) added 18 points (on 6-of-5 shooting from the field) respectively. Gladiators will meet at home Chemnitz in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kirchheim Knights will play against Phoenix Hagen (#11) and hope to get finally their first victory.
