Regular Season Round 3: Muenster - Itzehoe 76-77

A very interesting game took place in Muenster. It ended with only one-point home defeat of Muenster (1-2) to Itzehoe (2-1) 77-76 on Saturday evening. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Anthony McDonald (185-92, college: N.C.Central) who led the winners and scored 28 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Center Stefan Schmidt (207-89) accounted for 12 points and 4 assists for the winning side. American guard Jojo Cooper (183-95, college: Wagner) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists and Stefan Wess (204-94) added 16 points respectively for Muenster in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Itzehoe's next round opponent will be SG Schwelmer Baskets (#9) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Muenster will play against SparkassenStars in Bochum and hope to win that game.
