The game between closely ranked teams ended with ASC Theresianum Mainz's (0-3) home loss to Baskets Grunberg (1-1) 53-112 on Saturday. The best for the losing side was American guard Pearl Henriquez (165, college: Guilford Tech CC) with 17 points and 6 rebounds and forward Amina Pinjic (174-95) scored 13 points. ASC Theresianum Mainz's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Baskets Grunberg will face ALBA Berlin (#6) at home in the next round. ASC Theresianum Mainz will play against Osnabrueck SC (#2) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
