Regular Season Round 3: Krofdorf - Halle 49-73

Very significant was SV Halle Lions' (#6) 24-point road victory against Krofdorf in North 73-49. SV Halle Lions dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Krofdorf's 22. SV Halle Lions forced 36 Krofdorf turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Christin Mercer (186, college: Jacksonville) who led the winners and scored 15 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Czech power forward Barbora Kasparkova (183-92) accounted for 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. SV Halle Lions' coach Jose Araujo felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Leslie Robinson (183, college: Princeton, agency: LBM Management) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds and the other American import forward Chelsea Small (184, college: Indiana St.) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Krofdorf in the defeat. SV Halle Lions will play against Rotenburg/Scheessel (#8) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Krofdorf will have a break next round.
