Regular Season Round 4: Karlsruhe SC - Koblenz 78-65

There was a minor upset when one of their biggest challengers Koblenz (2-1) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Karlsruhe SC (2-1) 78-65 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of Rouven Roessler (198-80) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and American-Ghanian guard Bright Mensah (193-92, college: William Pater.) who added 22 points during the contest. At the losing side Serbian forward Milan Trtic (201-86, agency: HMS) responded with 11 points and 5 rebounds and forward Henning Schaake (201-95) scored 12 points. Koblenz's coach Josip Bosnjak tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Karlsruhe SC moved-up to third place in South-West, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Koblenz. Karlsruhe SC will face TV Langen (#5) on the road in the next round. Koblenz will play against Mannheim and hope to win that game.
