Regular Season Round 1: Siauliu - Tornado KM 114-61

There was a minor upset in Siauliai where Tornado KM (0-1) was crushed by Siauliu (2-0) 114-61 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Siauliu led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Tornado KM's 34 and made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Siauliu forced 31 Tornado KM turnovers and outrebounded them 50-29 including a 21-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Tornado KM's players. Forward Lorenas Stoskevicius (-1) fired 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Deividas Visockis (-1) chipped in 15 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals. Five Siauliu players scored in double figures. Guard Laurynas Braukyla (187-1) produced 14 points and 8 rebounds and guard Mykolas Vaitekunas (170-1) added 14 points and 4 steals respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Siauliu will face Panevezio (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tornado KM will play against Vilniaus Silputa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
