Very important is a road loss of Artvin (0-1) against Duzce Belediye (1-0) on Friday night. Visiting Artvin was defeated by Duzce Belediye in a tough game in Duzce 68-74. American point guard Isiah Umipig (183-92, college: Seattle) nailed 23 points and 5 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import forward Steve Taylor Jr. (206-93, college: Toledo) accounted for 9 points and 16 rebounds. American guard Ricky Tarrant (188-93, college: Memphis) came up with 21 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Omer Tayfun Karabey (201-88) added 13 points respectively for Artvin in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Duzce Belediye will meet Bandirma Kir. (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Artvin will play against Orman and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
