Rather expected game when UBSC Graz (0-3) was defeated at home by Timberwolves (2-1) 90-81 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 31-21 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Timberwolves looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was Croatian guard Petar Cosic (183-85, agency: Interperformances) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 assists. Bosnian forward Nemanja Nikolic (202-89) chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds. Timberwolves' coach Hubert Schmidt used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Johnathan Hudson (180-87, college: Texas A&M) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists and Serbian power forward Luka Nikolic (209-94) added 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Timberwolves will meet at home Arkadia Lions in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. UBSC Graz will play against Gmunden Swans (#2) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
