Another exciting game was played in Vienna between Mustangs and Flames where Mustangs (1-0) crushed Flames (0-1) on the road with 21-point difference 80-59. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Mustangs's pressure prevailed and they won that period 27-12 extending their advantage to 21 points. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Czech forward Vladimir Sismilich (202-85) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 8 rebounds. Czech guard Michal Semerad (190-89) contributed with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Mustangs players scored in double figures. Naturalized Argentinian forward Fabricio Vay (207-86, agency: Interperformances) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists and Bosnian-Slovenian center Fuad Memcic (209-82, agency: Promotex) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Flames. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mustangs will play against Deutsch-Wagram (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Flames will play against Raiders in Villach to get more than just one victory in their record.
