Very important is a road loss of third ranked Hamburg (3-1) against fifteenth ranked White Wings (1-3) on Saturday night. Visiting Hamburg was defeated by White Wings in Hanau 82-68. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Hamburg. It was a great shooting night for White Wings especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 68.8 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American Luquon Choice (190-93, college: Lincoln Memorial) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Till-Joscha Joenke (193-92) who added 19 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four White Wings players scored in double figures. At the losing side American Beau Beech (206-94, college: N.Florida) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Jannik Freese (211-86) scored 7 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. White Wings left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place, which they share with Phoenix Hagen and Karlsruhe PS. Loser Hamburg dropped to the second position with one game lost. They share it with Trier and Art.Dragons. White Wings will meet higher ranked Baunach (#8) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Hamburg will play against Nuernberg (#5) and hope to secure a win.
