Regular Season Round 4: Koeln Rh.Stars - Schwenningen 65-72

Everything went according to plan when top-ranked BV Villingen-Schwenningen (4-0) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Koeln Rh.Stars (0-4) 72-65 on Saturday. BV Villingen-Schwenningen dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Koeln Rh.Stars' 30. Quite impressive performance for American forward Rasheed Moore (196-95, college: E.Stroudsburg) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 9 rebounds. Bill Borekambi (198-92, college: Sequoias CC) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. BV Villingen-Schwenningen's coach Alen Velcic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Tucker Haymond (198-94, college: W.Michigan) replied with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and center Yasin Kolo (208-92, college: Bellarmine) added 10 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Koeln Rh.Stars. BV Villingen-Schwenningen have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of South leader, which they share with Bayer Giants and Fraport SKY II. Loser Koeln Rh.Stars still closes the standings with four games lost. BV Villingen-Schwenningen will face Elchingen (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Koeln Rh.Stars will play against the league's leader Bayer Giants (#1) in Leverkusen and hope to get finally their first victory.
