Regular Season Round 1: Edirne - Akhisar Bld 74-79

Another exciting game for Akhisar Bld (1-0) which played on the court of Edirne (0-1). Akhisar Bld won 79-74. Tufan Onen (202-89) stepped up and scored 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and American power forward Curtis Kelly (208-88, college: Kansas St., agency: HMS) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side American guard Alex Gordon (184-85, college: Vanderbilt) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 assists (made all of his twelve free throws !!!) and the other American import center DeAngelo Riley (206-88, college: Azusa Pacific) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Edirne players scored in double figures. Edirne's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Akhisar Bld will play against Selcuklu (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Edirne will play against Final Spor in Bursa to get more than just one victory in their record.
