Regular Season Round 1: Aabyhoj - SISU 57-61

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Aabyhoj (0-1) at the home court. Hosts were defeated by SISU (1-0) 61-57. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Aabyhoj won third quarter 19-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when SISU won last quarter 15-13. They made 25-of-30 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 26 Aabyhoj turnovers. Aabyhoj was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Aubrey Buckley (188-95, college: Missouri St.) nailed 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and Canadian guard Nofuente Ceejay (173-93, college: Humber) accounted for 9 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals. Guard Malene Pedersen (180-1) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and Andrea Bach added 8 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Aabyhoj in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. SISU will play against Horsholm at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Aabyhoj will play against Stevnsgade to get more than just one victory in their record.
