Regular Season Round 2: Mladost ZE - Spartak 87-78

There was a minor upset when Spartak (1-1) lost to Mladost ZE (1-1) in Zemun 78-87. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-11. But Spartak won second period 25-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Mladost ZE made 18-of-21 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Forward Aleksa Novakovic (200-96, college: E.Illinois) scored 20 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Tadija Tadic (195-99) chipped in 21 points during the contest. Four Mladost ZE players scored in double figures. Center Ljubomir Campara (203-93) responded with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds and American guard Devaugntah Williams (193-94, college: Texas Tech, agency: Mansfield and Associates) scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Mladost ZE will play against Vrsac (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Spartak will play against Borac (#1) to get more than just one victory in their record.
