Regular Season Round 3: Goettingen - Wuerzburg 91-87

There was no surprise when s Oliver Baskets (0-2) were defeated on the road by BG Goettingen (2-1) 91-87 on Sunday. BG Goettingen dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to s Oliver Baskets' 28. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. The best player for the winners was point guard Michael Stockton (185-89, college: Westminster, UT) who scored 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Pendarvis Williams (198-91, college: Norfolk St.) chipped in 22 points. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Jordan Hulls (180-90, college: Indiana) who recorded 23 points and 5 rebounds and guard Skyler Bowlin (190-89, college: Missouri So.) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists respectively. Five s Oliver Baskets players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. BG Goettingen will meet Deutsche Bank Skyliners (#11) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. s Oliver Baskets will play against Giessen 46ers and look forward to get finally their first victory.
