Regular Season Round 4: Kremen - KDPU 78-113
Date: October 14, 2018
An interesting game was also a 35-point tough home defeat of 5th ranked Kremen-2 in a game in Kremenchuk versus KDPU (#4) 113-78. The game without a history. KDPU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Kremen-2's 34. KDPU forced 22 Kremen-2 turnovers. Strangely Kremen-2 outrebounded KDPU 38-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by power forward Artem Vodolaztcky (197-92) who scored that evening 24 points and guard Vladyslav Unhuryan (190-95) supported him with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four KDPU players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 12 points and 14 rebounds by center Aleksandr Ryhljuk (208-84) did not help to save the game for Kremen-2. Forward Danylo Khablakov (203-99) added 17 points for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. KDPU (2-1) moved-up to third place. Loser Kremen-2 dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. They share it with Mariupol. KDPU will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kremen-2 will play again against KDPU (#3) and hope to win that game.
