Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Loewen (0-4) lost to top-ranked Fraport Skyliners II (4-0) in Erfurt 61-71 on Sunday. It was a great shooting night for Fraport Skyliners II especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Quite impressive performance for point guard Garai Zeeb (187-97) who helped to win the game recording 19 points. Swedish guard Elijah Clarance (195-98, college: Illinois St.) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Four Fraport Skyliners II players scored in double figures. Fraport Skyliners II's coach Sebastian Gleim used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard David Taylor (190-95, college: Pacific) replied with 13 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Robert Franklin (195-81, college: N.Mexico Highlands) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Loewen. Fraport Skyliners II have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of South leader, which they share with Schwenningen and Bayer Giants. Newly promoted Loewen still closes the standings with four games lost. Fraport Skyliners II will face FC Bayern II (#4) in Muenchen in the next round. Loewen will play at home against Dragons Rhoendorf (#12) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
