Regular Season Round 3: Grosuplje - LTH Castings 85-92

No shocking result in a game when LTH Castings (1-2) beat on the road Grosuplje (1-2) 92-85 on Wednesday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 29-18. But Grosuplje won second period 23-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. LTH Castings dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Grosuplje's 42 and made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Grosuplje 35-17 including a 24-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when LTH Castings made 7 blocks. It was a good game for Urban Oman (197-98) who led his team to a victory with 28 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Matija Vravnik (202-92) contributed with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four LTH Castings players scored in double figures. LTH Castings' coach Jaka Hladnik used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Aljaz Marinc (190-97) answered with 28 points and 5 assists and swingman Luka Snoj (200-90) added 11 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Grosuplje. LTH Castings will face Medvode (#12) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
