Cankaya (3-0) managed to deliver another win on Wednesday. This time they beat Mardin BSB (1-3) 69-60. They outrebounded Mardin BSB 37-26 including 32 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for American center Sasha Goodlett (195-90, college: Georgia Tech) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 13 rebounds. Center Kubra Dicle (187-92, agency: 1andBox Sports Agency) contributed with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. The former international forward Nazli Guler (184-82, agency: 1x1 Sports) answered with 13 points and 8 rebounds and American power forward Chandra Harris (185-89, college: Georgia St.) added 17 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) in the effort for Mardin BSB. Mardin BSB's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cankaya is looking forward to face Edremit (#7) in Balikesir in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Mardin BSB will play on the road against Bursa BSB (#12) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
