But Final Spor was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Edirne 101-96 on Friday night. Edirne looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was swingman Gokturk Gokalp Ural (196-95) who had a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. American guard Alex Gordon (184-85, college: Vanderbilt) chipped in 23 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Edirne players scored in double figures. American LaceDarius Dunn (193-87, college: Baylor) produced 42 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 5 assists and Berkay Genc (-96) added 21 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Edirne will meet at home Artvin (#11) in the next round. Final Spor will play against Selcuklu and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
