Regular Season Round 4: Gmunden - UBSC Graz 89-71
Date: October 20, 2018
Bottom-ranked UBSC Graz (0-4) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 89-71 loss to top-ranked Gmunden Swans (4-0) in Gmunden. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. The game without a history. Gmunden Swans led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 33 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by UBSC Graz's players. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Enis Murati (194-88, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). American power forward Torrion Brummitt (203-93, college: W.Carolina) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Four Gmunden Swans players scored in double figures. Serbian power forward Luka Nikolic (209-94) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and Cypriot center CJ Turman (206-95, college: Florida Atlantic) added 15 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for UBSC Graz. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gmunden Swans have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Arkadia. UBSC Graz at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Furstenfeld. Gmunden Swans will play against league's leader Arkadia Lions in Traiskirchen in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. UBSC Graz will play at home against Raiffeisen Flyers Wels (#3) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
