Regular Season Round 2: Mustangs - Deutsch-Wagram 80-68

Very expected game when Deutsch-Wagram (0-2) lost to Mustangs (2-0) in Mistelbach 68-80 on Saturday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Mustangs looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Czech forward Vladimir Sismilich (202-85) notched 23 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and Czech guard Michal Semerad (190-89) supported him with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Mustangs players scored in double figures. Even 12 points and 6 rebounds by center David Rados (202-99) did not help to save the game for Deutsch-Wagram. Guard Lukas Hofer (180-92) added 12 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mustangs will meet UBC St. Polten (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Deutsch-Wagram will play against Raiders and hope to win that game.
