Regular Season Round 6: Rendsburg - Vechta II 70-71

There was a small surprise when thirteenth ranked Vechta-2 (2-4) edged on the road 11th ranked Rendsburg (2-4) 71-70 on Saturday. Vechta-2 forced 25 Rendsburg turnovers. The best player for the winners was Radii Caisin (195) who scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Luc Van-Slooten (203-2) chipped in 11 points and 4 assists. Four Vechta-2 players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Pierce Cumpstone (203-94, college: Stonehill) who recorded 16 points and 8 rebounds and center Christopher Geist (208-95) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Vechta-2 moved-up to tenth place in North, which they share with Rendsburg and Neustadt TSV. Rendsburg lost third consecutive game. Vechta-2 will face higher ranked Aschersleben (#8) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
