Very predictable result when fourth ranked Langenhagen (5-2) beat at home 10th ranked Neustadt TSV (2-4) 79-71 on Saturday. Neustadt TSV was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was center Marcel Schwarz (203-90) who scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Bart Zents (198-92) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Mubarak Salami (197-96) who recorded 10 points and 9 rebounds and guard Simion Habtemichael (191-96) added 15 points respectively. Five Langenhagen and four Neustadt TSV players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Langenhagen maintains fourth position in North with 5-2 record. Neustadt TSV at the other side keeps the tenth place with four games lost. Langenhagen will face higher ranked RSV Eintracht (#3) in Stahnsdorf in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Neustadt TSV will play at home against ALBA-2 (#14) and hope to win that game.
