Regular Season Round 6: Muenchen OSB - Vilsbiburg 84-69

There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Muenchen OSB (2-3) beat at home higher ranked Vilsbiburg (3-3) 84-69 on Saturday. Muenchen OSB forced 19 Vilsbiburg turnovers. The best player for the winners was William Bessoir (203-99) who scored 21 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Omari Knox (188-86, college: Bloomfield) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Italian-Slovenian center Davor Barovic (211-90) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and American swingman Grant Corsi (196-94, college: Trinity Intern.) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Five Muenchen OSB and four Vilsbiburg players scored in double figures. Vilsbiburg's coach Marc Vilas tested twelve players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Muenchen OSB moved-up to ninth place in South-East, which they share with Schwabing. Vilsbiburg at the other side dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. Muenchen OSB will face higher ranked Ansbach (#3) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Vilsbiburg will play against Goldbach and hope to win that game.
