Regular Season Round 4: MBC - Vechta 100-106

SC Rasta Vechta can celebrate their first win this season after three consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Weissenfels, where they defeated Mitteldeutscher BC (0-4) 106-100. SC Rasta Vechta forced 21 Mitteldeutscher BC turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard TJ Bray (196-92, college: Princeton) who helped to win the game recording 36 points (!!!) and 8 assists. The other American import swingman Austin Hollins (195-91, college: Minnesota) contributed with 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized American forward Sergio Kerusch (195-89, college: W.Kentucky) replied with 21 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Lee Moore (193-95, college: UTEP) added 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Mitteldeutscher BC. Four SC Rasta Vechta and five Mitteldeutscher BC players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. SC Rasta Vechta (1-3) left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place, which they share with Crailsheim. It was Mitteldeutscher BC's fourth loss in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Braunschweig. SC Rasta Vechta will play against Braunschweig (#17) at home in the next round. Mitteldeutscher BC will play against Brose Baskets having rather not much hope for a victory.
