Regular Season Round 6: Aschersleben - Stahnsdorf 63-93

Date: October 20, 2018
Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Aschersleben (3-4) was outplayed at home by third ranked RSV Eintracht (5-1) 93-63 on Saturday. RSV Eintracht made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. RSV Eintracht outrebounded Aschersleben 42-20 including a 32-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was center Moses Poelking (206-97) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. American forward Matthew Dogan (201-94, college: Gannon) chipped in 25 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Four RSV Eintracht players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Pakistani Salman Manzur (205-96) who recorded 14 points and forward Niklas Radestock (198-98) added 9 points and 4 assists respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. RSV Eintracht have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in North, which they share with Goetting.ASC. Aschersleben at the other side dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. RSV Eintracht will face Langenhagen (#4) at home in the next round. Aschersleben will play against Vechta-2 (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
