Bottom-ranked ASC Theresianum Mainz is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fifth consecutive match to ninth ranked Rotenburg/Scheessel (2-3) 115-41 on Saturday evening. Rotenburg/Scheessel dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to ASC Theresianum Mainz's 18 and made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Rotenburg/Scheessel especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. American forward Kama Griffitts (183-91, college: Arizona) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 5 assists. Her fellow American import center Alecia Cooley (190-95, college: Arkansas) contributed with 22 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Rotenburg/Scheessel players scored in double figures. Canadian guard Lauren Mortier (175-89) answered with 11 points and point guard Alina Doetsch (170-99) added 4 points in the effort for ASC Theresianum Mainz. ASC Theresianum Mainz's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Rotenburg/Scheessel moved-up to seventh place in North. Newly promoted ASC Theresianum Mainz still closes the standings with five games lost. Rotenburg/Scheessel will have a break next round. ASC Theresianum Mainz will play on the road against TG Neuss (#10) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
