Regular Season Round 4: Timberwolves - Arkadia 63-76

Date: October 21, 2018
The game in Vienna was also quite interesting. Top-ranked Arkadia Lions (4-0) played at the court of 5th ranked Timberwolves (2-2). Arkadia Lions defeated Timberwolves 76-63 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 14-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-63. Arkadia Lions forced 19 Timberwolves turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Benedikt Danek (176-86) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and international guard Benedikt Guettl (190-94) who added 18 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side Serbian center Marko Kolaric (213-84, college: Chaminade) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 18 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and Croatian guard Petar Cosic (183-85, agency: Interperformances) scored 8 points and 9 assists. Timberwolves' coach Hubert Schmidt rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Arkadia Lions have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Gmunden. Newly promoted Timberwolves keep the fifth place with two games lost. They share the position with Oberwart. Arkadia Lions will meet at home league's second-placed Gmunden Swans in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Timberwolves will play against Dukes in Klosterneuburg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
