Regular Season Round 4: Bayreuth - Braunschweig 78-77

Bottom-ranked Braunschweig (0-4) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 78-77 loss to tenth ranked BBC Bayreuth (2-1) in Bayreuth. The winners were led by American forward Hassan Martin (201-95, college: Rhode Island) who scored that evening 19 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import point guard David Stockton (180-91, college: Gonzaga) supported him with 16 points. Even a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds by American power forward Scott Eatherton (206-91, college: Northeastern, agency: BeoBasket) did not help to save the game for Braunschweig. Forward Christian Sengfelder (203-95, college: Boise St.) added 15 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. BBC Bayreuth moved-up to eighth place. Braunschweig at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. BBC Bayreuth's next round opponent will be s Oliver Baskets (#16) in Wuerzburg and are hoping to win another game. Braunschweig will play on the road against SC Rasta Vechta and hopes to get finally their first victory.
