Very expected game when 10th ranked TG Neuss (1-4) lost on the road to second ranked B.Loewen (4-1) 70-58 on Sunday. B.Loewen made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Polish point guard Magdalena Gawronska (168-83) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Tatiana Tenorio-Haynes (175-91, college: Angelo St.) contributed with 21 points and 4 assists for the winners. American guard Dara Taylor (172-91, college: Penn St.) answered with 17 points and 7 rebounds and center Carlotta Ellenrieder (193-99) added 11 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for TG Neuss. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. B.Loewen maintains second place in North with 4-1 record having just one point less than leader Osnabrueck SC, which they share with Halle and Bad Homburg.
