Regular Season Round 5: OrangeAcademy - Coburg 82-61

No shocking result in a game in Ulm where seventh ranked OrangeAcademy (3-2) outleveled 9th ranked Coburg (1-4) 82-61 on Sunday. OrangeAcademy looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Power forward Nils Mittmann (201-79) stepped up and scored 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners and guard Marius Stoll (196-99) chipped in 12 points and 9 assists. Four OrangeAcademy players scored in double figures. French guard Kevin Franceschi (191-93, college: Oklah.Baptist) responded with 11 points and 5 rebounds and Christopher Wolf (199-95) scored 7 points and 8 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. OrangeAcademy moved-up to fourth place in South, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Coburg keeps the ninth position with four games lost. OrangeAcademy will face league's second-placed Fraport Skyliners II in Frankfurt in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Coburg will play at home against Loewen (#12) and hope to win that game.
