Regular Season Round 4: Wasserburg - Chemnitz 88-45

Rather predictable result when fourth ranked TSV 1880 Wasserburg (3-1) smashed at home 8th ranked ChemCats Chemnitz (1-3) 88-45 on Sunday. TSV 1880 Wasserburg dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to ChemCats Chemnitz's 26. TSV 1880 Wasserburg forced 20 ChemCats Chemnitz turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Jennifer Schlott (168-91, college: Utah St.) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 5 assists and 6 steals and the former international point guard Svenja Brunckhorst (179-91) who added 14 points and 9 assists during the contest. TSV 1880 Wasserburg's coach Sidney Parsons felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American guard Ana Owens (168-96, college: Cincinnati) responded with 7 points and 7 assists and Czech point guard Andrea Andelova (172-94) scored 8 points. TSV 1880 Wasserburg moved-up to second place, which they share with Freiburg and Herner. Loser ChemCats Chemnitz dropped to the eleventh position with three games lost. TSV 1880 Wasserburg will face Fireballs (#7) in Bad Aibling in the next round where they are favorite. ChemCats Chemnitz will play at home against Gruner Stern Keltern (#6) and hope to win that game.
