No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked TV Saarlouis Royals (2-2) defeated on the road bottom-ranked ChemCats Chemnitz (1-5) 78-73 on Wednesday. The best player for the winners was American point guard Ariel Hearn (171-94, college: Memphis) who scored 21 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Her fellow American import center Bronaza Fitzgerald (183-96, college: NC-Asheville) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. Fitzgerald is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Czech point guard Andrea Andelova (172-94) produced 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American guard Ana Owens (168-96, college: Cincinnati) added 17 points respectively for the hosts. Five TV Saarlouis Royals and four ChemCats Chemnitz players scored in double figures. Despite that victory TV Saarlouis Royals went down to seventh position due to points difference. ChemCats Chemnitz lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the bottom place with five games lost. TV Saarlouis Royals will face league's leader BC Pharmaserv Marburg at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. ChemCats Chemnitz will play against XCYDE Angels Noerdlingen (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
