Regular Season Round 7: Palanga - Suduva-Mantinga 92-85

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Suduva-Mantinga (5-2) against fifth ranked Palanga (4-1) on Friday night. Visiting Suduva-Mantinga was defeated by Palanga in a tough game in Palanga 85-92. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Suduva-Mantinga. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Jalen Riley (182-93, college: E.Tenn.St.) who led the winners and scored 37 points (!!!) and 5 assists. Point guard Aidas Viskontas (185-86) accounted for 18 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Center Edvinas Jezukevicius (207-90) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and Aurimas Urbonas (198-93) added 17 points and 7 assists respectively for Suduva-Mantinga in the defeat. Five Suduva-Mantinga players scored in double figures. Palanga have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Suduva-Mantinga at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. Palanga will play against Silute (#6) on the road in the next round. Suduva-Mantinga will play against Perlas (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
