Regular Season Round 7: Telsiai - Silute 99-83

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Silute (4-3) against ninth ranked Telsiai (3-2) on Friday night. Visiting Silute was defeated by Telsiai in Telsiu 99-83. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Silute. Telsiai looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. International center Tomas Rimsa (208-96) fired a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Deividas Rasys (197-97) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Swingman Evaldas Dziaugys (196-96) produced 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and international Andrius Globys (198-95) added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Five Telsiai and four Silute players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Telsiai moved-up to seventh place. Loser Silute dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Perlas. Telsiai will meet Ereliai Mazeikiai (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Silute will play against Palanga (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
