Regular Season Round 3: UBC - Mustangs 85-81

Mustangs (2-1) recorded a loss in St.Polten. Visitors were defeated by UBC St. Polten (2-1) 85-81. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Martin Speiser (202-83) who led the winners and scored 26 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Lukas Boeck (184-89) accounted for 13 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side. Four UBC St. Polten players scored in double figures. UBC St. Polten's coach Andreas Worenz allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Guard Stefan Obermann (185-93) came up with 17 points and 8 rebounds and Czech guard Michal Semerad (190-89) added 22 points respectively for Mustangs in the defeat. UBC St. Polten will play against Raiders in Villach in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Mustangs will play at home against Blackbirds and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
