Regular Season Round 3: KOS - Lions 73-122

KOS (0-3) was outscored at home by Lions (1-2) with the biggest margin this round 122-73 on Friday night. The game without a history. Lions led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to KOS's 38. Lions forced 20 KOS turnovers and outrebounded them 45-24 including a 34-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of Spanish forward Javier Medori (202-93, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Spanish guard Ander Arruti (191-90) helped adding 25 points, 5 assists and 5 steals. Four Lions players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Slovenian point guard Jan Razdevsek (185-0) with 35 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and forward Andi Smrtnik (195-94) scored 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. KOS's coach Dragan Sliskovic gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Lions will face Flames (#8) in Vienna in the next round. KOS will play on the road against Nord Dragonz (#11) in Eisenstadt and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
