Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Elchingen (4-2) outleveled on the road 10th ranked Dragons Rhoendorf (1-5) 95-74 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was forward Brian Butler (196-91) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds. Croatian forward Jere Vucica (206-92, college: Miami, OH, agency: Court Side) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. Five Elchingen players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Lithuanian center Zygimantas Riauka (205-93, college: Wisc.-Parkside) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and 22 rebounds and American point guard Kwan Waller (183-89, college: Ky Wesleyan, agency: Slash Sports) added 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Elchingen moved-up to fourth place in South. Loser Dragons Rhoendorf dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. Elchingen will face league's second-placed Fraport Skyliners II in Frankfurt in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Dragons Rhoendorf will play on the road against Wuerzburg (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
