We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 7th ranked Kapfenberg Bulls (1-3) were outscored at home by eighth ranked Hallmann (2-3) 92-66 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 92-66. Hallmann made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Kapfenberg Bulls were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international Jason Detrick (195-80, college: Oklahoma) orchestrated the victory by scoring 47 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Mustafa Hassan-Zadeh (165-96) contributed with 13 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. American guard Elijah Wilson (193-94, college: Co.Carolina, agency: Mansfield and Associates) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and Serbian point guard Bogic Vujosevic (190-92) added 17 points and 6 assists in the effort for Kapfenberg Bulls. Hallmann moved-up to seventh place. Kapfenberg Bulls lost their third game in a row. Defending champion dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. Hallmann will face UBSC Graz (#9) at home in the next round. Kapfenberg Bulls will play against Furstenfeld Panthers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
