Regular Season Round 8: Neptunas-Akv. - Delikatesas 85-65

There was no surprise in Klaipeda where 12th ranked Delikatesas (2-5) was crushed by eighth ranked Neptunas-Akv. (4-3) 85-65. Neptunas-Akv. outrebounded Delikatesas 42-26 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by point guard Jonas Dumasius (188-97) who scored that evening 23 points and Klaidas Metrikis (202-0) supported him with 9 points and 9 rebounds. Even 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists by forward Rytis Biliartas (202-91) did not help to save the game for Delikatesas. International power forward Sarunas Beniusis (206-93) added 17 points for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Neptunas-Akv. moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Zalgiris II. Delikatesas at the other side dropped to the fourteenth position with five games lost. Neptunas-Akv.'s next round opponent will be Taurages (#10) at home where they are favorite. Delikatesas will play against Telsiai (#9) and hope to win that game.
