Regular Season Round 5: Randers - Wolfpack/BMS 98-91

Top ranked BMS Skovlunde (1-3) recorded its third loss on the court of fifth ranked Randers. Visitors were defeated by Randers 98-91. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Randers outrebounded BMS Skovlunde 46-27 including 31 on the defensive glass. American forward Brantley Bynum (196, college: San Francisco St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 6 rebounds. The former international forward Chris Nielsen (193-85) contributed with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Randers players scored in double figures. American center Deionte Simmons (205-96, college: Chicago St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and guard Oliver Stroh (192-94, college: Shippensburg) added 21 points and 8 assists in the effort for BMS Skovlunde. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Randers (3-2) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Horsens IC. BMS Skovlunde at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Randers will play against Horsens IC (#4) on the road in the next round. BMS Skovlunde will play against the league's second-placed Vaerlose and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
