Regular Season Round 4: Gaziantep - Fenerbahce 55-67

Rather expected game when 5th ranked Gaziantep (2-2) was defeated at home by top-ranked Fenerbahce (4-0) 67-55 on Saturday. Fenerbahce shot 60.9 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Fenerbahce especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of center Ahmet Duverioglu (209-93) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and French power forward Joffrey Lauvergne (210-91, agency: BeoBasket) who added 9 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Croatian guard Marko Tomas (200-85) responded with 14 points and Nigerian center Tonye Jekiri (213-94, college: Miami, FL) scored 8 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fenerbahce have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Loser Gaziantep dropped to the sixth place with two games lost. Fenerbahce's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul Anadolu Efes.
