Regular Season Round 6: Walter Tigers - Baunach 82-56

An interesting game took place in Tuebingen where higher ranked Baunach (3-3) was upset on the court of twelfth ranked Walter Tigers (2-3) 82-56 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Baunach. Walter Tigers shot 63.5 percent from the field. They outrebounded Baunach 41-21 including a 30-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Center Enosch Wolf (215-90, college: Connecticut) scored 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Reed Timmer (185-95, college: Drake) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Five Walter Tigers players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Lithuanian center Tautvydas Slezas (207-90, agency: Interperformances) with 6 points and 7 rebounds and Estonian point guard Kristian Kullamaee (190-99, agency: Dynamics Global Management) scored 9 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Walter Tigers moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Heidelberg and Kirchheim. Loser Baunach dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. Walter Tigers will face league's leader Chemnitz on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
